The Riseria Re Carlo is named after its founder, Carlo Re, who moved to Albano Vercellese in 1957 with his wife Lina and children Adelina and Pierangelo and founded the company there. Run by the nearby Molinara irrigation ditch, the mill has been in operation for decades. These days, the old production process is combined with the latest technologies to produce a unique Carnaroli risotto rice.Situated near the Swiss border, the province of Vercelli is also known as the Rice Chamber of Europe. The vast rice fields stretch out in bright green through the fertile Po Valley.
